300 performers took part in the International Folklore Dance and Music Festival "Halikarnas", which was held from 17 to 21 September 2021. The event welcomed groups that presented traditions of North Macedonia, Albania, Ukraine, Greece and Turkey (Hatay, Balikesir, Canakkale, Mugla, Milas, Bodrum).

The forum took place on the stage of the Bodrum Fortress, which is usually used for concerts by pop artists, and its festival program was watched by more than 2,500 spectators.

Folklore festival was opened with a welcoming speech by the mayor of Mugla. The closing ceremony was attended by well-known local artists such as Mehmet Aykac, and the awards were presented to the groups by the Mayor of Bodrum.

The second festival event took place at Oasis AVM, where participants also had the opportunity to dance in front of a large audience.

During the evening program, the groups learned Turkish dances, took part in a gala evening in the form of a workshop and exchanged experiences in the field of art. The performers also had fun at a disco party. After the festival they returned to their countries with great memories and a desire to join the music fiesta again.

Guests had the opportunity to join various excursions - a boat trip, a visit to the underground museum, the Bodrum Fortress and the Ancient Theater in the city.
