The summary of the XXVth Stara planina Festival "Balkan folk" and the simultaneously held with it events - the XII Bulgarian National Championship of Folklore "Euro folk" and the VII World Cup of Folklore - Veliko Tarnovo 2022, shows that the events held in the period from 12th to 16th of May in the old capital of Bulgaria - Veliko Tarnovo, were attended by about 1,500 participants - singers, musicians and dancers. The competitors were included in 3 concerts captured by the cameras with total duration of 30 hours, and broadcasted live by the main media partner of the Musical Feasts "Euro Folk" - "EuroFolkTV".

The first place of the XII Bulgarian National Championship of Folklore "Euro folk" went to the Representative dance group "Hemus" at Vratsa Municipality - Vratsa. Art directors of the groups are Genoveva Spasova and Valeri Spasov. The group received the Golden medal of the Championship, the title "Absolute National Champion in 2022" and a money prize in the amount of 1,000 BGN, provided by the European Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF.

The second place of the Championship "Eurofolk 2022" went to Representative ensemble "Folklorika" at School of folklore dances "Folklorika" Ltd - Sofia, Bulgaria. Art directors of the group are Evelina Pavlova, Georgi Pavlov and Mariyana Zafirova. The group received the Silver medal of the Championship, the title "Absolute Vice-champion of Folklore in 2022" and the Silver "Orpheus".

The third place, Bronze medal and Bronze "Orpheus" of the National Championship went to Folklore ensemble "Georgi Chilingirov" at "Otets Paisii 1926" Community center - Polkovnik Serafimovo village, Bulgaria. The group is led by Sabi Kaydzhiev.

Special award of Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo with Mayor eng. Daniel Panov was given to the Vocal group "Morski pesachinki" at the Association "Art Music" - Burgas, led by Milena Dobreva.

The ceremony continued with special awards under the three evaluation criteria of the regulations of the Bulgarian National Championship:

A special award on the criterion "Complexity and technique of performances" was received by the participants from the Children's folklore group "Slantse" at the "Prosveta-1929" Community center - Boshulya village, Bulgaria. The artistic director of the ensemble is Karamfila Grigorova.

Another special award was presented by Eurofolk TV to the Dance ensemble "Favorit" - Ugarchin, Bulgaria. The group is led by Mihail Denev.

Next special award was given by the jury in the category "Presentation (costumes, props, staging, choice of repertoire)" and went to the Male vocal group at "Prosveta 1937" Community center, Marikostinovo village, Bulgaria. Art director of the group is Georgi Torimatsev.

Special award on the criterion "Stage behavior (behavior on stage, contact with the audience, appearance and artistry) went to Children's dance group "Trakiyche" at Hristo Botev Secondary school, Aytos, Bulgaria.

Another award for stage behavior was presented to the Children's dance ensemble "Bolyarche", Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria.

The jury was composed of: Maestro Georgi Yankov - music specialist, Mr. Valentin Halvadzhiev - choreographer, Mrs. Mariana Nutsova - ethnologist, author of folklore TV shows and movies, program director of Euro Folk TV.

Winner of the Grand Prix of the World Cup of Folklore - Veliko Tarnovo for 2022 is Youth dance group at Folklore ensemble "Rodolyubie - Kyustendil" at the Association "Folklore ensemble "Rodolyubie - Kyustendil", with artistic director Vasil Vasilev. The winner received the Grand Cup of the forum, a diploma certifying the first place and a voucher worth 500 euro for participation in the World Championship of Folklore "World folk", provided by EAFF.

The jury awarded Mr Vasil Vasilev the title Maestro. The diploma will be sent to the Ministry of culture with the request to be officially presented to Mr Vasilev.

The second place in the final ranking of the World Cup of Folklore - Veliko Tarnovo was taken by Dance group "Pirinska magiya" at "Prosveta-1937" Community center, Marikostinovo village, Bulgaria with art director Valeri Zhganev. The ensemble won a silver medal, a Cup, a Diploma and a money prize of 300 euro as a voucher for participation in the World Championship of Folklore.

The third place in the international folklore competition was taken by the Ensemble "Shqiponja" from Tuzi, Montenegro, led by maestro Agron Pllumaj. The team received a bronze medal, a Cup, a Diploma and a money prize of 200 euro in the form of a voucher for participation in the World Championship of Folklore "World Folk".

The forum was officially closed with the favorite phrase of the creator and inspirer of the Stara Planina Festival "Balkan folk" and the European Association of Folklore Festivals EAFF - Mr. Iliyan Nikolov - "Behind us is the memory of our fathers, in front of us are the eyes of our children."
