This year's winner of the Balkan Championship of Folklore "Euro folk - Jiva voda" is the Representative ensemble "Folklorika" at School of folklore dances "Folklorika" - Sofia. Artistic leaders of the group are Evelina Pavlova, Georgi Pavlov and Mariana Zafirova. The first place is accompanied by the Golden medal of the Championship, the Grand Prix Golden "Orpheus", the title "Absolute Balkan Champion of Folklore in 2022" and the cash prize in amount of 1,000 BGN, provided by the Municipality of Hisarya.

The second place of the forum went to the Chamber choir "Maestro Georgi Atanasov" at "Vasil Levski 1861 - Karlovo" Community center. Art director of the group is Parvoleta Yunakova. The choir won the Silver medal and the Silver "Orpheus" of the Balkan Championship, as well as the title "Balkan Vice-champion of Folklore in 2022".

The third place was awarded to Folklore ensemble "Izvorche" at "Hristo Botev - 1914" Community center, Krumovgrad led by Katya Cholakova and Mitko Karamfilov. The group won the Bronze "Orpheus", bronze medal of the Balkan Championship of Folklore "Euro folk - Jiva voda".

The summary of the Championship in Hisarya is 2 all-day concerts with a total duration of more than 20 hours and with the participation of nearly 160 folklore groups and individual performers from all over Bulgaria. The program of the competition was rich in hundreds of performances of folklore songs, dances and instrumental performances broadcast live by the team of EurofolkTV.

The official guests at the closing ceremony of the festival were the mayor of Hisarya - Eng. Penka Ganeva, the director of the Balkan Championship of Folklore "Euro folk - Jiva voda" - Mr. Georgi Topuzliiski, the chairman of "Ivan Vazov 1904", Hisarya - Mrs. Stoyanka Angelova and the President of the European Association of Folklore Festivals EAFF - Mr. Kaloyan Nikolov.

The jury, consisting of: Maestro Georgi Yankov - music specialist and conductor, Valentin Halvadzhev - choreographer and Mrs. Mariana Nutsova - ethnologist, program director of Euro Folk TV, nominated 9 folklore ensembles for the Grand Prize of the championship.

Nominated groups were: Folklore ensemble "Izvorche" from Krumovgrad, Children's group "Belchinche" from Belchin village, Samokov municipality, Bulgaria; Dance group "Srednogorski polah" - Ihtiman, Buglaria; Vocal group "Orfey" - Plovdiv, Bulgaria; Chamber choir "Maestro Georgi Atanasov" - Karlovo, Bulgaria; Female folklore choir - Velingrad, Bulgaria; Representative ensemble "Folklorika" - Sofia, Bulgaria; Vocal folklore ensemble - Parvomay, Bulgaria and Mixed choir - Panagyurishte, Bulgaria.

According to the criterion "Level of complexity and technique of performances" was awarded Vocal group "Orfey" at the Society for Friendship with the Peoples of Russia and the OND - Plovdiv, with art director maestro-academician Violeta Kovacheva.

The Female folklore choir at the Representative ensemble for folklore songs and dances "Chepino" at the "Sv.sv Kiril i Metodii - 1905" Community center -Velingrad, Bulgaria led by Eli Sazdova won the special diploma on the criteria "Appearance" - presentation, costumes, props, repertoire.

Borislava Gaykova, Natalia Gaykova and Nina Mushevska from the Non-profit association "Petnadeset laleta" - Hisarya, were also nominated for the Grand Prix Golden "Orpheus", winning the special award of the EAFF.

With the award of Euro Folk TV, main media partner of the X Balkan Championship of Folklore "Euro folk - Jiva voda" 2022, was awarded Children's Group "Belchinche" at the Community Center "Svetlina - 1909" - Belchin, Samokov municipality, led by Daniela Georgieva.

Special diploma and gift from the "Ivan Vazov 1904" Community center were given to Vocal folklore ensemble at the "Sv.sv Kiril i Metodii - 1894" Community center, Parvomay, Bulgaria. Art director - Kichka Petkova.

Diploma and a gift from Municipality of Hisarya were given to Dance group "Srednogorski polah", Ihtiman by the Mayor Eng. Penka Ganeva. Art directors Desislava Ivanova and Mariela Ivanova.

Organizers of the Balkan Championship of Folklore "Euro folk - Jiva voda" are the Municipality of Hisarya, "Ivan Vazov 1904" Community center - Hisarya, and Euro Folk Academy.

Since its inception, the Championship is held under the auspices of the European Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF, whose president - Mr. Kaloyan Nikolov, closed the tenth anniversary edition of the festival event with the words: "After what I saw on the stages of the Balkan Championship of Folklore "Euro folk - Jiva voda", I am convinced that the transmission of living cultural heritage to future generations is feasible. Seeing with what energy, zeal and desire the young people present what they have learned, I think that the process is not only real, but also irreversible. A society that preserves its roots is able to exist and thrive, drawing strength from its cultural treasury, created by bitter and glorious times.
Bulgarians have proven more than once in their millennial history, that they can overcome the difficulties, relying on the sparks in the eyes of their children."
