Traditionally, every year in May, Veliko Tarnovo welcomes performers from all over Bulgaria and the world to present their performances to the audience and jury in the Bulgarian National Championship of Folklore "Euro Folk" and the World Cup of Folklore.

In 2023, the central part of the historic town will be resounded by folklore rhythms of vocal, dance and music performances of participants.

Both forums will be held in parallel with the non-competitive XXVI Stara planina Festival "Balkan Folk" in the period 11-15 May, and the deadline for submission of applications for participation is 27 January 2023.

The concerts will be accompanied by initiatives and events, to which neither the participants nor the audience can remain indifferent.
