The grand prize of the XI Balkan Championship of Folklore "Euro folk - Jiva voda" 2023 went to Mummers club "Zlatnite kukeri" and Dance group "Balgarche" at "Trud i postoyanstvo 1901" Community center, Chelopech village, Sofia region. Art director of the Mummers club is Delyan dzhunev, and the choreographer of the Dance group is Stanislav Stoykov. The group won the Golden medal of the Championship, the Grand Prix Golden "Orpheus'', the title "Absolute Balkan Champion in 2023", as well as the money prize in the sum of 1000 leva, provided by the Municipality of Hisarya. Stanislav Stoykov expressed his joy with the words: "Really big surprise, really big excitement. I'd like to thank all the organizers and all the jury members. This is our second prize. Three years ago, we won the European Championship. Infinite gratitude for the assessment and to the members of the Mummers club "Zlatnite kukeri" and Dance group "Balgarche'' at the "Trud i postoyanstvo 1901" Community center. I'm really grateful and we hope to see you again during the World Championship!" Second place at the Balkan Championship of Folklore "Euro folk - Jiva voda" went to Dance ensemble "Zvezditsa" at "Zvezditsa 2003" Community center, Dimitrovgrad, Bulgaria. The group received Silver medal and Silver "Orpheus" of the Balkan Championship, as well as the title "Balkan Vice Champion of Folklore" in 2023. Third place, bronze medal and bronze "Orpheus" went to Ensemble for authentic folklore "Draginovo" at "Metodiy Draginov 1936" Community center. Art directors of the ensemble are Antonia Ivanova and Veselin Ivanov. Three concerts of the competition are with a common duration of more than 30 hours, and provided opportunities for performances of more than 150 folklore groups and individual performers from Bulgaria. The audience enjoyed hundreds of performances of folklore songs, dances and customs. Participants joined a parade from the center of Hisarya to the "Ivan Vazov" Community center. They were able to viewed the exhibition of the Regional Center for Intangible Cultural Heritage for South-Eastern Europe under the auspices of UNESCO, entitled "Journey through living traditions - the intangible cultural heritage of South-Eastern Europe", located in the foaye of the "Ivan Vazov" Community Center on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the adoption of The UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The award for the youngest participant went to 3-year-old Nadezhda Georgieva from the village of Chelopech. The special award of "Euro Folk" TV, the main media partner of the Balkan Championship of Folklore "Euro folk - Jiva voda" 2023 went to the Children's Folklore Formation "Gabrovski glascheta" at the "Gabrovo 2002" Community center, Gabrovo, Bulgaria, headed by Stefka Stoeva. In addition to the Diploma, the team also received a free video recording. Folklore trio "Avliga" at "Peyo Kracholov Yavorov - 1978" Community center, Dupnitsa, Kyustendil, Bulgaria, won the Special Diploma and plaque from the "Ivan Vazov 1904" Community center. Special award of the Municipality of Hisarya - a diploma for participation, preservation, popularization and excellent presentation of folk art and a plaque, was presented to the Choir for Macedonian songs at the "Parashkev Tsvetkov -2003" Community center, Pleven, with artistic director Ivan Minkov. Award was presented by the Eng. Penka Ganeva - Mayor of the Municipality of Hisarya. The jury committee awarded the Eurofolk Academy's Diploma to the Dance Group "Severnyashka mladost" at the Secondary School "St. St. Cyril and Methodius", Butan village, Kozloduy municipality, headed by Mariana Popova. A diploma of the Euro Folk Academy was also deservedly won by the Group for spring folklore at the "Nikola Yonkov Vaptsarov -1928" Community center - Novo Zhelezare village, headed by Dimitria Desheva. The special award of the European Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF won the Dance group "Malo Konare" at "Prosveta 1929" Community center - the village of Malo Konare, Pazardzhik, headed by Gergana Lambreva. The forum was officially closed with a huge Bulgarian dance, to the accompaniment of the song "Mari Rayne", performed by the host of the concerts - Tsvetan Gatev.
