Only a few days remain until the opening of the XII Balkan Folk Championship "EURO FOLK - LIVING WATER 2024," which will take place from May 30 to June 3 in the town of Hisarya. This unique celebration of folk music and dance promises to bring together over 190 folk groups and individual performers from all over Bulgaria.

This year, the Championship will be especially exciting and diverse, providing a platform for exceptionally talented bearers of folklore to showcase their skills and keep the traditions and culture of our ancestors alive.

The competition program will be held on the stage of the Ivan Vazov - 1904 Community Center in Hisarya. On May 31, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the audience will enjoy the first performances, with the official opening scheduled for 7:30 PM. On June 1, the program will continue from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with a participant parade at 6:00 PM. The next day, June 2, the concert will be organized from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the official closing at 5:30 PM. Throughout the three competition days, the accompanying event of the Balkan Championship will be the Traditional Breads Contest, where original breads and various pastries from different regions of Bulgaria will be displayed in the foyer of the community center.
