On December 1, 2024, an international symposium titled “Participatory Approaches to Living Heritage: Perspectives of NGOs” will take place. The event, part of the 19.COM UNESCO meeting in Paraguay, is organized by the ICH NGO Forum and the Working Group on Research. The symposium will focus on community-oriented approaches to safeguarding intangible cultural heritage. The program includes international examples, discussions on ethical and practical challenges, as well as the presentation of the Overall Results Framework (ORF) Guide, emphasizing the role of NGOs in this process.
