On May 10 and 11, 2025, the village of Galiche will transform into a stage for unforgettable folklore emotions with the Folklore Festival “Danforovi Rhythms.” This unique event is part of the Championship System of the European Association of Folklore Festivals (EAFF) and holds the status of a Local Folklore Championship for Northwestern Bulgaria.

The festival invites both competitive groups ready to compete for prestigious awards and gold medals, and ensembles that wish to simply enjoy the joy of performing arts. The Grand Prize – a Gold Medal, a diploma, and the title “Absolute Local Folklore Champion for 2025” – is accompanied by a cash prize of 500 BGN. The jury will also present special awards for outstanding achievements in various categories such as authentic and stage costumes, musical accompaniment, and artistry.

“Danforovi Rhythms” is not just a festival – it is an opportunity to become part of the modern platform of the EAFF for promoting and preserving folklore heritage. Participants can qualify for higher levels in the championship system, including the prestigious World Folklore Championship “World Folk.”
