On March 27, from 15:00 to 17:00 CET, an online discussion will take place, organized by the NGO The London Story in partnership with the Ukrainian NGO The Development Centre “Democracy through Culture”.

The event will focus on the alarming destruction of tangible and intangible cultural heritage in Ukraine, seen as part of a broader effort to erase Ukrainian identity. Additionally, it will address the global practice of destroying and trafficking cultural property.

The main topics of discussion will include:

• The consequences of cultural heritage destruction

• The role of state and non-state actors in these destructions

• Legal interventions and how NGOs and other organizations can help protect and restore cultural heritage
