The International Folklore Festival “St. Cyril and St. Methodius” was held with great success in Ohrid between May 23 and 27, 2025, with the culmination taking place on May 25 during a grand performance on the main stage in the heart of the city. The festival opened with a colorful and inspiring parade through the Ohrid Bazaar, attracting the attention of both locals and tourists. More than 250 participants from Romania, Serbia, and various ensembles from North Macedonia showcased the richness of their folklore through music, dance, and authentic costumes, transporting the audience into a magical world of tradition and unity. In their free time, the participants explored the charm of the old town of Ohrid – visiting Samoil’s Fortress, the Ancient Theater, and many historic churches. Emotions ran high by the water as well – the guests enjoyed a picturesque boat trip to the sanctuary of St. Naum, where nature and spirituality meet. The organizers, led by Mr. Milenko Andreski, ensured flawless coordination and warm hospitality, and the satisfaction of all participants was the greatest reward for a successfully realized festival.
