The 8th edition of the International Music and Folklore Festival “Summer in Bosnia and Herzegovina 2025” was held from July 21 to 25 and was recognized as the most successful so far – both in terms of the number of participants and the quality of performances. The event brought together 320 performers from Bulgaria, Latvia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, who turned the stages in Visoko and Vitez into a celebration of music, folklore, and friendship.

The festival program included two concerts that impressed both the local audience and the international participants. Bulgaria was represented by three groups that proudly showcased the richness of Bulgarian folklore. Alongside them, three ensembles from Latvia and four from the host country took the stage.

The participants not only presented their cultural heritage but also took part in a tourist and adventure program. Key destinations such as Sarajevo, Mostar, Konjic, Visoko, and Vitez were visited, and one of the highlights was rafting on the Neretva River – a bonding and energizing experience for all involved.

The festival became a space for communication, exchange, and new friendships. According to many, this edition marked the highest level of performance to date – both in terms of organization and cultural value.

The festival’s management expressed special thanks to all institutions and partners who made the event possible – the European Association of Folklore Festivals (EAFF), the Directorate of the Bosnian Cultural Community and its President, Prof. Dr. Sanjin Kodrić, the municipal administration of Visoko and Mayor Mirza Ganić. Special appreciation was extended to the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Bosnia and Herzegovina and H.E. Ambassador Valery Yotov, as well as to the Bosnian Cultural Community in Vitez.
