Between August 10 and 14, 2026, the Montenegrin cities of Bar and Sutomore will transform into a stage of a cultural spectacle unparalleled in the Balkans – the International Festival “Dancing on Bar and Sutomore” brings together dance groups, choirs, and artists from around the world for five days filled with music, rhythm, and emotions. Participants from various countries will showcase on one stage both traditional and modern dance styles, cultural heritage, and artistic expression.

The city of Bar – the maritime gateway to Montenegro – welcomes guests with a unique combination of history, nature, and modern atmosphere. Just a few kilometers from the vast Lake Skadar and beneath the grandeur of Mount Rumija, the festival takes place in a region that is both a tourist destination and a cultural treasure. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the Old Town of Bar, the Haj Nehaj Fortress, and the 2,000-year-old olive tree – a symbol of eternity and tradition.

The festival program combines unforgettable performances, parades, meetings with new friends, and invaluable international exchange. Guests will also enjoy additional activities such as a cruise on the Adriatic Sea, visits to Budva, Kotor, and Tivat, as well as evening artistic events. Participants don’t just attend a festival – they become part of an international artistic family.

The goal of “Dancing on Bar and Sutomore” is to unite cultures through music and dance, to give a stage to talent, and to build new creative bridges between nations. Folk ensembles, modern dance groups, choirs, majorette teams, brass bands, and clubs can apply – with no limitations on age or number of participants.
