The organizers of the II International Folk Dance and Music Festival “Summer in North Cyprus” have announced an extension of the application deadline until 7 August 2026.

The festival will take place from 10 to 14 September 2026 in the beautiful coastal city of Kyrenia (Girne), Northern Cyprus, bringing together folk ensembles, choirs, orchestras, majorette teams, and dance groups from various countries.

An additional opportunity is available for participants through a special 5% discount, which will be granted to all groups that submit their applications by 15 July 2026.

The festival aims to encourage cultural exchange between nations through music, dance, and traditional costumes, while also creating opportunities for new international friendships and partnerships. Participants will have the chance to showcase their art on open-air stages in the center of Kyrenia and enjoy the rich history, cultural heritage, and natural attractions of Northern Cyprus.

The program includes festival concerts, an official parade of participating groups, opening and closing ceremonies, cultural visits to historical sites such as Kyrenia Castle, the ancient city of Salamis, St. Barnabas Monastery, and Bellapais, as well as opportunities for a sea cruise and leisure time by the Mediterranean Sea.

Accommodation will be provided in a four-star hotel on a half-board basis. The organizers will also provide a professional stage, sound system, participation certificates, and gifts for all groups.

Groups interested in participating can submit their applications now and take advantage of the preferential early registration conditions.
