From 7 to 14 January 2027, Delhi will become a stage for music, dance and cultures from around the world. During this period, the Indian capital will host the Delhi International Ethnic Folklore Festival – an international forum combining stage performances, cultural exchange and a journey through one of India’s most impressive cities.

The festival is open to participants aged from 7 to over 70 and welcomes folklore, classical, contemporary, Latin, ballroom, street, oriental and fusion dance groups, as well as theatre ensembles, choirs, brass bands, orchestras and majorette groups. Performances may feature live music or recorded accompaniment, and an optional competition is also included in the programme.

Participants will have the opportunity not only to present their art, but also to discover Delhi’s rich cultural heritage. The programme includes a city tour with the chance to visit more than 10 attractions, as well as a photo session in traditional Indian clothing. Among the city’s iconic landmarks are the Red Fort, Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb – all UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Participating groups will be provided with hotel accommodation, three meals per day, and transfers to and from Indira Gandhi International Airport. Each participant will receive a certificate, while the groups will be awarded a special festival trophy.

Dance, music and folklore groups wishing to become part of the Delhi International Ethnic Folklore Festival 2027 can submit their applications now. The application deadline is 25 September 2026.
