Директор: Aron Kovats Sopron: Sopron is situated next to the western borders of Hungary at the foot of the Alps. It is one of the oldest gems of the country. Sopron merges past and present in itself. It creates a bridge between Hungary and its western neighbours, opening a gate for foreign guests visiting Hungary, as it is symbolized by the coat of arms of the city. The inhabitants of the city are known for their hospitality and loyalty to their hometown. This is also symbolized by the "Gate of Allegiance" on the Mian Square, next to the Firewatch Tower, the symbol of the city. The curative and refreshing air of the natural environment, the hiking routes of the neighbouring Lővérek, the view-points, the mountain springs and the proximity of Lake Fertő make Sopron one of the most beautiful and pleasant holiday resorts of Hungary. Another attraction of Sopron are the excellent wines which characterize the Sopron Historic Wine Region. Eisenstadt: Eisenstadt is the provincial capital of Burgenland, the easternmost region of Austria. It is located at the southern end of the Leitha Mountains, just 50 minutes south of Vienna. The capital of Austria’s easternmost province features a charming old town, a stunning 14th-century castle and monuments to classical composer Joseph Haydn. One of the city's major landmarks is Esterházy Palace, one of the most beautiful Baroque palaces in the country. Other sights include the Calvary Mountain, Martinsdom (St. Martin’s Cathedral) dating back to the 13th century, and the Gloriette. The historic old town features many listed buildings as well as a pedestrian zone with shops, cafés, and restaurants. The districts of St. Georgen and Kleinhöflein are famous for their quaint Heurigen wine taverns; and don't miss out on Eisenstadt's surroundings, a lush wine growing region offering amazing culinary delights.
