Директор: Mohammed Qaqa and Valerijus Vilcinskas Rabat is the capital of Morocco. It is located in the Rabat-Sale-Kenitra region. Its population is 717,572, according to the 2014 census. It is located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in a wide flat plain, on the left bank of the Bouregreg River, which separates it from the city of Salé. The city is famous for its textile industry and the University of Mohammed V also has the first modern university established in the Kingdom. The Almohads established the present capital of Morocco in the mid-twelfth century AD. Abd al-Mumin built there the Ribat al-Fateh, which is the nucleus of a fortified city that included, in addition to the castle, a mosque and a home for the caliphate. His grandson, Yaqoub Al-Mansour, is considered the true founder of the city of Rabat. Several historians have stated that the construction of the city was completed during the reign of Abu Yusef al-Mansour, including the wall and gates. Rabat won the second place in CNN's list of "Best Tourist Destinations 2013". The history of Rabat, the capital of the Kingdom of Morocco, goes back to different historical periods. However, the initial establishment of the city dates back to the era of the Almoravids, who established a fortified ribāt, since the obsession with security was the strongest factor behind this choice to be a point for the gathering of the mujahideen and to respond to the bargain attacks. During the Almohad era, the city was known for its historical and civilizational rays, as the ribat (fortress) was transformed during the reign of Abd al-Mu'min al-Mowahid into a fortified reed to protect his armies that were launching jihadist campaigns towards Andalusia. During the reign of his grandson Yaqoub Al-Mansour, he wanted to make Ribat Al-Fath the capital of his state. He ordered that it be fortified with strong walls, and built several buildings with it, the most famous of which is the Hassan Mosque with its majestic silo. In the fourteenth century, Rabat began to experience its decline due to the successive attempts of the Mariners to seize it, and their establishment of a royal tomb at the site of Shala is a good example of that. Sultan Ya`qub al-Mansur the Almohad built a wall known as the Almohad wall, and its length reached 2263 m. It extends from the west to the south of the city of Rabat, and its width is 2.5 meters and its height is 10 meters, and this wall is reinforced with seventy-four towers, as it is interspersed with 5 huge gates (Bab Al-Alu, Bab Al Ahad, Bab Al Rawah and Bab Zaer). Shell received great attention during the reign of Sultan Abi Al-Hassan. His son, Sultan Abu Anan, built the school in the north of the mosque, the hammam and the Nazala, and decorated the shrines of his ancestors with ornate domes that are a vivid example of the distinctive architecture of the state of Bani Marin. Shala retreated immediately after the Marinids' decision to reopen the cemetery of the oligarchs in Fez. Its buildings were neglected, and even at the beginning of the fifteenth century AD, it was subjected to looting and destruction in order to preserve its ancient sanctity and live thanks to the memories of its ancient history on the sidelines of the city of Ribat al-Fath, gradually becoming a cemetery and pilgrimage to the inhabitants of the region, and a distinguished historical landmark that attract Low profile.
